I have, however, found that the settings are not user friendly (which is par for the course as I am not a computer geek) and I loathe having to enter a password every time I start my computer. As mentioned by David the installation was trouble free. Well, yesterday afternoon I bit the bullet and did 2½ hours of navel gazing while Windows 10 installed itself on my machine. Will I be able to do anything anywhere near it using Architectural?Īnd if my impressions about the compatibility between Windows 10 and my current software are wrong please don't shout at me! I have only been out of hospital for a few days after having a couple of heart attacks and am feeling somewhat sensitive and emotional. Some of you will know the sort of work I do using my current software. (Strangely this is only a few of Pounds less than what I paid for HD Pro in 2014) HD Architectural 2016 £125/$195 which I could try and save for over 5 weeks or so. HD Pro 2016 £296/$462 - too expensive as I can't not eat for two weeks.Ģ. I expect to hear quite soon as to when my Windows 10 download from MS will be available to me so I have been weighing up my options which, for someone whose pension/income is a mere $234 a week, are seemingly severely limited.ġ. and from what I have read on discussions elsewhere it would seem that my HD 2014 Pro software will not work properly on the new platform and is therefore redundant with a lot of work that I have done and the dosh it cost me to buy down the drain.

The Story Map enables you to set the number of pages you want to write to and then color-code your scenes – a feature particularly handy for television writers, who often seem to be considered second-tier when it comes to the demographics screenwriting software programs are going after. It has considered writers' needs and enhanced the writing experience at every stage of the process. As a consumer, I didn’t always feel I was getting enough bang for my buck. A few of the previous versions seemed to have come out before they were able to fully accomplish what they set out to do. Without losing any of the simple and intuitive formatting techniques that easily engage novice screenwriters, Final Draft 10’s new features cater to experienced scribes. Final Draft 10 is a mature software for a mature writer. It’s been over a decade since I got my first Final Draft, and I’m happy to say that the software has grown with me. It is now and will forever be the screenwriting software brand associated with taking yourself seriously as a writer. That has always been the magic of Final Draft. I handed him my just-in-case-of-emergencies credit card and never looked back. If you don’t take yourself seriously as a writer, no one else will, either.” The worker put a thick Final Draft 7 box in my hand. “Sure, you can probably tell I formatted in Word, but who cares, right? As long as it follows the same basic formatting.” I showed the Final Draft booth employee my TV specs written on Word, meticulously formatted with the utmost care. I had never heard of the software and knew nothing about it other than it was out of my price range.
